- Description: The World Chess Academy (WCA) provides free chess lessons to everyone regardless of age, gender, race, social, or financial status. It is a nonprofit organization with a 501(c)(3) certification. The WCA provides live, video taped, or both types of instruction both locally or globally to individuals or groups from professional chess instructors such as GM Roman Dzindzichashvili, GM Gabriel Schwartzman, GM Patrick Wolff, IM Josh "Searching for Bobby Fischer" Waitzkin, and from Academy facilitator Dan Thomasson.
